The hospital serves as a training hospital for student nurses and midwives of Alice Anume Memorial School of Nursing & Midwifery and the planned Allied Health School. The main objective of the hospital is to:
- Support and develop community outreach programs that include community education on communicable diseases, counselling, hygiene, HIV AIDS, sexual reproductive health, and other preventable viral illnesses, with focus on using sustainable technologies to enhance development and Family Life Education;
- Offer comprehensive medical services that will address health care needs of the community as well as to complement the existing government hospitals.
- Equip Alice Anume Memorial School of Nursing & Midwifery Students with adequate practical knowledge in Hospital and Health Unit Management, provision of Primary Health Care (PHC) and Maternal Child Health (MCH) Services and Community Health Based Care.
- Bring Alice Anume Memorial School of Nursing & Midwifery Students to proximity with patients in the community by identifying, monitoring, and following up expectant mothers from four months of pregnancy up to six weeks after the delivery of the baby.
- To mobilize resources and establish educational opportunities for Alice Anume Memorial School of Nursing & Midwifery Students in Uganda and internationally.
- To collaborate with other health care organizations and educational institutions in Uganda and Internationally in the provision of health care services.
